New startup Melstarr Aviation Learning Academy (MALA) has announced it is launching a new flight training organization in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, with a training fleet led by the BRM Aero Bristell B23-916iS next-generation trainer aircraft. Just last month MALA announced it ordered 20 Bristell B23 Aircraft!
If I’m not mistaken, the Bristell B23 aircraft is equipped with a parachute. I think that’s going to be a new feature for Indian flight schools! But I’m not sure if there are any Bristell B23 aircraft currently flying in India and how long it will take to get the DGCA approval.
Thanks for sharing Matt! I’ve also been following Elixir Aircraft, which is becoming popular with a lot of European flight schools and has a parachute system as well.
The Cirrus SR20/22 and then specifically for flight schools the Cirrus TRAC Series is also very popular, especially with airline-owned flight schools, as it has a parachute system as well.
